TusQ DX DT Tablet is a dispersible tablet for a dry cough and the common cold. Each tablet has dextromethorphan 10 mg, chlorpheniramine 2 mg and phenylephrine 5 mg. Dextromethorphan quiets the cough centre in the brain. Chlorpheniramine eases sneezing, a runny nose and watery eyes. Phenylephrine shrinks swollen nasal vessels so a blocked nose opens up. Drop the tablet in water and drink it. It is not for a wet cough that brings up mucus. Do not give it to children under four years.

How Does It Work?
Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. It lowers the urge to cough by acting on the cough centre in the brain. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine. It blocks histamine, which is why sneezing and a runny nose calm down, though it can also make you sleepy. Phenylephrine is a decongestant. It narrows tiny blood vessels in the nose so swelling and blockage drop.

FAQs
Q1. What is TusQ DX DT Tablet used for?
Ans. It is used for a dry cough with cold symptoms. It calms the cough, eases sneezing and a runny nose, and helps open a blocked nose.
Q2. How do I take a DT tablet?
Ans. Put one tablet in a glass of water and wait until it breaks up. Stir if needed, then drink the full glass. Do not swallow the tablet whole.
Q3. Can I use it when I am coughing up mucus?
Ans. No. Dextromethorphan holds a cough back. If mucus needs to come out, this tablet can trap it. Ask for a different medicine for a wet cough.
Q4. Why do I feel sleepy after it?
Ans. Chlorpheniramine often causes drowsiness. Skip driving and alcohol until that feeling passes. Tell your doctor if the sleepiness is very strong.
Q5. Is TusQ DX DT safe for a small child?
Ans. It should not be given to children under four years. For older children, use only the dose a doctor has set. Do not guess the dose.
Q6. How should TusQ DX DT tablets be stored?
Ans. Keep the strip in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and sunlight. Store it out of children’s reach and use it before the expiry date.
