Telma-LNB 50 Tablet is a three-in-one blood-pressure tablet from Glenmark. Each extended-release tablet has cilnidipine 10 mg, metoprolol succinate 50 mg, and telmisartan 40 mg. Cilnidipine widens the arteries. Metoprolol slows the heart so each beat uses less force. Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II, the chemical that keeps vessels tight and makes the body hold salt. Doctors use it when pressure stays high on one or two medicines, including in some people with stable heart disease. Swallow it whole, with or after food. Do not stop it suddenly. It is a prescription medicine.

Cilnidipine (10 mg), Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg, extended release), Telmisartan (40 mg)
Key Benefits
Lowers blood pressure from three directions
Slows a fast, hard heartbeat
Relaxes tight arteries
Used when dual therapy has not been enough
Helps cut the long-term risk of heart attack and stroke
One tablet instead of three separate ones, when prescribed this way
How Does It Work?
Cilnidipine blocks calcium so the artery muscle relaxes. Metoprolol blocks beta receptors on the heart, so the pulse slows and each beat is softer. The extended-release part spreads that effect through the day, which is why the tablet must stay whole. Telmisartan blocks the AT1 receptor, so angiotensin II cannot clamp the vessels. Together, they bring pressure down more than a single drug in people who need all three.
Directions For Use
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribes, usually once daily.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or split it.
Take it with or after food, at the same time each day.
Do not add another telmisartan, metoprolol, or cilnidipine tablet unless your doctor has asked you to.
If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless the next dose is close. Do not double it.
Do not stop suddenly. The heart rate and pressure can rebound.
Less salt, walking, and not smoking help the tablet.
Safety Information
Prescription medicine. The “50” means metoprolol 50 mg, not telmisartan 50 mg.
Do not use in pregnancy or if you are planning a pregnancy. Telmisartan can harm the baby. Call your doctor the same day if you conceive.
Tell your doctor if you have a very slow pulse, heart block, asthma, heart failure, kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes.
Metoprolol can hide a racing heartbeat during low blood sugar. People with diabetes should check blood sugar regularly.
Ankles can swell from cilnidipine. Potassium can rise from telmisartan. Avoid salt substitutes unless your doctor agrees.
Dizziness and a slow pulse can occur. Stand up slowly. Do not drive until you feel steady.
Keep out of children’s reach.
Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture.

FAQs
Q1. What is Telma-LNB 50 Tablet used for?
Ans. It treats high blood pressure that has not settled with simpler treatment. Cilnidipine, metoprolol 50 mg, and telmisartan 40 mg work together in one extended-release tablet.
Q2. Is Telma-LNB 50 a prescription medicine?
Ans. Yes. It is a prescription medicine from Glenmark. Do not start it because you already take one of these salts, and do not mix it with extra heart tablets.
Q3. Why must I swallow it whole?
Ans. The metoprolol is extended-release. Crushing or chewing it can dump the beta blocker at once and slow the heart too fast. Swallow the tablet whole, with or after food.
Q4. Can I stop it when my reading is normal?
Ans. No. A normal reading means the tablet is working. Stopping suddenly can push the pulse and pressure back up. Only your doctor should taper it.
Q5. Can I take Telma-LNB 50 in pregnancy?
Ans. No. Telmisartan can harm the unborn baby. If you become pregnant, stop the tablet and contact your doctor the same day. Do not wait for the next visit.
Q6. How should Telma-LNB 50 be stored?
Ans. Keep the strip below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Store it out of children’s reach and use it before the expiry date.
